Shrubs under 1 m

Back to plant database

There are many shrubs in Australia’s flora, which is fortunate as they provide the bulk of the mid layer of the garden. They have multiple woody stems.

In this section, the smaller shrubs to 1 metre, are perfect for:

  • Edging garden beds
  • Mass planted for high impact and colour
  • Weed suppression
  • Holding sloping banks
  • Habitats for smaller birds and reptiles
